The Flood Covers the Earth – What kind of lights did Noah have on the Ark?

Floodlights!

13 That very day Noah had gone into the boat with his wife and his sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—and their wives. 14 With them in the boat were pairs of every kind of animal—domestic and wild, large and small—along with birds of every kind. 15 Two by two they came into the boat, representing every living thing that breathes. 16 A male and female of each kind entered, just as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord closed the door behind them. Emphasis added (Genesis  7:13-16)

Yes, I have heard a few corny jokes over the years but I also have heard a lot of great people speak! One I have always remembered was when a speaker said something to this affect “I imagine that after the Lord closed the door behind them on the ark and the water began to rise that people starting pounding on the door of the ark. Wailing and screaming that they wanted to be saved. But it was too late. The door had been shut.”

How will it be on Judgment Day?

Every day we should be leading people on to the boat by our actions and service.

Today’s readings Genesis 7:1-10:5, 1 Chronicles 1:5-7, Genesis 10:6-20, 1 Chronicles 1:8-16, Genesis 10:21-30, 1 Chronicles 1:17-23 and Genesis 10:31-32

Have a fantastic day!!!!

  1. On a funny note...
Did you know that when you called an annoying sibling or friend a "Nimrod" as a child that you were really calling them man of power or mighty hunter?! According to Genesis 10:9 he was mighty and not a fool like you might have thought. High five to the Nimrods out there!
