Hey God does it have to be 27 inches high?

Sorry I am late posting today.  I made the mistake of trying to defragment my disk first.

Also I want to say Happy Birthday to my daughter Sarah today and thank you to my wife for carrying her for 9 months and then being a mom for the next 21 years in this world that is so challenging to raise children in!

Plans for the Ark of the Covenant
10 “Have the people make an Ark of acacia wood—a sacred chest 45 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 27 inches high.[a] 11 Overlay it inside and outside with pure gold, and run a molding of gold all around it. 12 Cast four gold rings and attach them to its four feet, two rings on each side. 13 Make poles from acacia wood, and overlay them with gold. 14 Insert the poles into the rings at the sides of the Ark to carry it. 15 These carrying poles must stay inside the rings; never remove them. 16 When the Ark is finished, place inside it the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant,[b] which I will give to you.  Exodus 25:1-16
Plans for the Table
23 “Then make a table of acacia wood, 36 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 27 inches high.[e] 24 Overlay it with pure gold and run a gold molding around the edge. 25 Decorate it with a 3-inch border[f] all around, and run a gold molding along the border. 26 Make four gold rings for the table and attach them at the four corners next to the four legs. Exodus 25:23-26

God is giving a lot of specifics on materials, dimensions and building plans!

Design of the Chestpiece
15 “Then, with great skill and care, make a chestpiece to be worn for seeking a decision from God.[v] Make it to match the ephod, using finely woven linen embroidered with gold and with blue, purple, and scarlet thread. 16 Make the chestpiece of a single piece of cloth folded to form a pouch nine inches[w] square. 17 Mount four rows of gemstones[x] on it. The first row will contain a red carnelian, a pale-green peridot, and an emerald. 18 The second row will contain a turquoise, a blue lapis lazuli, and a white moonstone. 19 The third row will contain an orange jacinth, an agate, and a purple amethyst. 20 The fourth row will contain a blue-green beryl, an onyx, and a green jasper. All these stones will be set in gold filigree. 21 Each stone will represent one of the twelve sons of Israel, and the name of that tribe will be engraved on it like a seal.   Exodus 28:15-21

I put a lot of today’s readings up to help us see how specific God is. So I have some questions.

Do you believe that God has a specific way he wants you to serve him?

If you have children is there a way he specifically wants them to get involved to learn service like a local
mission or other similar area?

Does God have a specific amount of time He wants you to sacrifice to service or worship?  One hour a week? 2 Hours?

Is there anything specifically he wants you to give up to give time to Him or limit the time you are spending on other things? Golf, TV, Hunting or idleness as a few examples?

Just think about today’s reading. Did God tell Moses to go out and hire contractors to accomplish all of this?

Do you have a skill you can contribute to God’s plan?

Today’s readings:
EXODUS 25:1-28:43
Tomorrow’s readings:
EXODUS 29:1-31:18
